Hi @hfnrisheeb thanks for trying Etcher and welcome to the forums :slight_smile:

Have you tried running Etcher as administrator? You can do this by right clicking on the icon for Etcher and selecting “Run as administrator”

Thank you for looking into my issue.
Yes, after going through this forum, I did run it as administrator. I am getting the same error.
Tried installing older version as was suggested in some posts that didn’t work, I think the last two digits of that update was 95.

Hi Rishee,

Do you by any chance have Chrome Remote Desktop running on the Windows 7 machine. It can create permission issues with Etcher. Just something to rule out.

I had the same problem -ran as admin as suggested - works now! Thing is I have admin rights by default in Windows 7, so why do we have to run as admin for the program? Strange!
