Please could you provide some further details including which version of operating system you are using and what commands you are running when you see this error message.

My apologies for leaving you in the dark!
Linux Mint 20.1 (cinnamon)
This error message is showing when the update manager is being run, either manually or as scheduled.
There are no network dramas/internet connection problems…everything else is completing etc etc
4.30am here…hope I have made sense.

I have noted this is a common problem…ie more than one user has the same problem.
Caused by a change of host on balena’s part…hosted by Cloudsmith now apparently.
Nice work on Balen’s part notifying the users of the change. Just allow them to flounder and figure it out for themselves.

Hi there, last week we did make a change to our PPA provider, and are now hosted at CloudSmith. You’ll need to add the new repository by following the instructions here: GitHub - balena-io/etcher: Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives, safely and easily.
It basically just needs this run:
curl -1sLf
‘https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/balena/etcher/setup.deb.sh’
| sudo -E bash
I have moved on.
