Keep getting "something went wrong." error on Arch

I am getting the same error on windows 10, trying to install Tails/Kali on a USB drive. See the screenshot attached. Please help.

That’s your problem.

You can either:

This is due to the quote in your username.
I’ve managed to reproduce this and opened an issue Flashing fails if the username containes a quote · Issue #3424 · balena-io/etcher · GitHub
I’ll try to fix it in the next release.

@Ajay1 in the meantime, running Etcher as an Administrator should work around the issue.
