The latest Etcher beta is out, get it from https://etcher.io/!

This release fixes a major regression on v1.0.0-rc.1, in which certain ISO files can’t be selected.

I apologize for the inconveniences, and as a bonus, I included bug fixes to minor issues reported in a matter of hours after the v1.0.0-rc.1, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our new error reporting mechanism.

Fixes

  • Display a user error if the image is no longer accessible when the writer starts.
  • Prevent uncaught EISDIR when dropping a directory to the application.
  • Fix “Path must be a string. Received undefined” when selecting Apple images.
  • Don’t interpret certain ISO images as unsupported.
