Deleting old version of balenaEtcher

Absolutely great program. I’m a huge fan.
I recently upgraded to version 1.5.53 from version 1.5.5 on Ubuntu 18.04.
Unfortunately the upgrade did not remove the older version. There is still an icon in the Applications selector.
How can I remove the old version without affecting the new version?

I downloaded the update.

Unzipped it.

Ran the .Appimage file.

I’m using Ubuntu 18.04.

You should be able to safely remove the old .AppImage without affecting the newer one, they just share the same config file which is in a different folder.

Hi @stampeder, appimages may be stored and used in pretty much any location. some additional details may be found here: https://docs.appimage.org/user-guide/faq.html#question-where-do-i-store-my-appimages . You should be able to just remove the old file. cc @thundron
