Balenasound obsolete?

Hi,

Since I updated to the latest OS and supervisor (last time I did that was a few weeks ago) the audio broke. Reading this forum it seems like it’s broken for a lot of people, but still not fixed. That is strange, given sound is the core functionality of this software.

A fresh release of Balena Sound on a Raspberry Pi 4 with USB sound card (previously working fine) now gives the errors underneath in the console when filtering on ‘sound’.

I read more people having trouble installing freshly on a Raspberry for weeks now. Please either fix, give a status-update of mark the software obsolete so we can look for other software.

Well, the absence of any reaction speaks for itself I guess.
I now installed Moode Audio, it’s a really nice alternative.

How’s that working out for you? Asking because I will have to jump ship if I can’t get Airplay working.

Moode audio works great right out the box. I also tried Volumio but Moode seems a bit more responsive and stable. Airplay, Spotify Connect, NAS via network, it all just works.
