Windows does not recognize disks after cloning AHHHH!!

I was cloning a disk to backup some very important data from my daughter. After the procesess correctly finished both disks, origin and destination connot be recognised by windows 10. I have seen some instructions to recover from this done on a MAC, but I do not own a Mac. Is it possible to recover the files in windows or Ubuntu?.

My daughter is going to kill me!!

Balena version is 1.5.109

Hi @nonsei,

Sorry to hear that. When you say that origin and destination cannot be recognized, do you mean that Windows doesn’t pick up the disks? What about Ubuntu? When you were flashing, did you get to the completion screen for Etcher, or did an error occur in the middle? Finally, what size disks are you flashing from and to? Finally, here’s a post that contains some useful tips for diagnosing and debugging your flash media: Etcher broke my USB stick … or did it?

Thanks and let us know!

Regards,
Christina
