Topic about installing etcher on pop os to put a new distro on usb

I’m having trouble after I unzip the file. When I click flash from file I get this message,
“Something went wrong while opening /home /guest/downloads/ belena-etcher-electron-1.7.7-Linux-x64.zip
Error: can’t find a matching file in this zip archive”
What does that mean? I updated pop and it’s still not allowing me to get anything on my usb. It’s my first time using pop so I’m a bit new at all this. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @castle, we have had a couple of imitator sites downloading versions of etcher which don’t work properly, you can read more about what we are doing about it here: Beware of false, harmful software claiming to be balenaEtcher

Can I first check that you have downloaded etcher from our site here: balenaEtcher - Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives?
