Problem using Etcher to flash a Variscite i.MX8M image

Hi,

I’ve successfully built the Variscite i.MX8M image, then configured it using CLI and am now trying to use Etcher to write it to uSD. I get an error about it being the wrong image type though?

Maybe I need to be using the “image-flasher” build but I can’t configure that with CLI. Hmm

Hi,
Before flashing with Etcher you need to add the .img extension to the built image.
Tell us how it goes!

Yeah so that flashed fine but it didn’t boot.

I was probably being a bit optimistic as I am trying to boot the NXP i.MX8M EVK not the Variscite.

I don’t suppose you have EVK support do you?
