Nothing happens after I choose ISO file

I have Windows 10 on my computer and I am trying to create a bootable USB disk for either Linux Ubuntu or Mint .

I have downloaded both ISO files and I am now using BalenaEtcher to create the USB disks. However after selecting ISO file (Actually “flash from file” in Etcher button), nothing happens. I cannot select ether target nor Flash button. I have tried to do this for both files Ubuntu and Mint.

I am using the latest version of Etcher 2.1.2 and I am running it as an administrator.

Can someone help? Or at least advice me how can I install Linux on my Windows 10 computer

I installed an older version 1.19.21 and it solved the problem.

Hi @perpavel , welcome to balena! I tried to reproduce your issue on Windows 11, Etcher 2.1.2, and was not able to reproduce. Could you check whether your version of Windows 10 is up to date?

I have the same issue

Windows: 10.0.26100 Build 26100

I can select the IMG file but then nothing happens, and it wont let me proceed. It used to work on this machine.

Reverting to an older 1.19 version didn’t help me though

Going all the way back to 1.18.11 DOES fix the issue
