I need an advise for a things I want to do.
I need to integrate Balena OS on a new device board from developed by NXP.
To do that, I know that I have two ways to do that :
- Start from a repository that contains a processor close to mine. I think to start from this one : GitHub - balena-os/balena-fsl-arm: Balena support for Freescale boards , selecting the board imx8mm-lpddr4-evk.coffee but I think my processor is maybe very different from the one used on this board.
- Start from the Yocto project developed by NXP which already works on the board. Then, integrate the Balena OS layer which are meta-balena on this project.
I think the second option is by far the best option since I already have a working Yocto. If you were in my place, what choice would you make ?
Maybe my question contains the answer but I just want to have your opinion. Maybe I just need reassurance.
