I just wanted to give anyone advice if they are using your product on a Mac OS system, especially a Mac Mini as I have.
I have had hours and hours of trouble trying to clone the R36 Max 2 (those retro gaming emulators/clones) MicroSD card it came with using Balena Etcher to a SanDisk MicroSD card but it always failed.
I tried flashing it…failed…, cloning it…failed, even trying multiple adaptors and MicroSD card slots but all failed.
Un desperation I thought I would download the BalenaEtcher app again but this time install it actually ON my Mac Mini and not the external SSD I use for all of my apps.
So, one last time, I tried again…SUCCESS!!! And I know why it worked this time…
If you are going to install BalenaEtcher onto your OS, make sure you install it on the ACTUAL Mac Mini itself and NOT on a external SSD or similar.
Yes, I know you all probably know this, but I didn’t, so I just wanted to write this post just in case others like me are having the same difficulty I had!
