making a spare SD card to play retro pies games

hello i am not very PC minded so I hope someone can help me

I bough a small console with lots of games on it, The system is called super console X3 PLUS AKA KINHANK 256 GB

i read to add new games you have to do certain things to the SD card and its even advised to make a copy of a 2nd SD card. I just done a copy and paste onto the 2nd card but its not working and Someone said need to use Balena and click clone sd card. Now I have 2 questions, as my PC can only use 1 SD card at a time,

1.so i clone and copy onto a folder in desk top and then copy and paste onto my 2nd SD card. The reason is the SD cards needs 3 partition’s like FAT 32 and others

  1. which do I download

ETCHER FOR WINDOWS (X86|X64) (INSTALLER) or ETCHER FOR WINDOWS (X86|X64) (PORTABLE)

or

ETCHER FOR LINUX X64 (64-BIT) (APPIMAGE)

or ETCHER FOR LINUX X64 (32-BIT) (APPIMAGE)

Thank you

Hi @a-prime,

Do you know what OS you’re running on your PC? Etcher will run on your PC to flash the image to your SD card, so the version you’ll want to install will depend on the OS you’re running it on.

Once you know that, and based on what you’ve described, you’ll likely just need the Installer version.

Let us know if that gets you up and running.
