How to verified integrity of the image file by etcher or how to solve the “1 Failed Device” Error?
Hi,
Can you please let us what Etcher version are you using and your OS?
Also you could try the sd card you flash even though it says that is “failed”, after that can you please check the devtools console (ctrl + shift + i) when the fail occurs to see if there’s more verbose information that you can share here.
Did you downloaded the latest version of etcher?
The 1 failed device error means that your ISO file was not properly downloaded from the server and this results in the corrupted file and trigger random issues during the installation, You can confirm this by verifying the bootable drive from etcherpc.

Making sure the image file (.iso or .zip) are downloaded correctly is critical before flashing them with etcher. To ensure the integrity of the local ISO or .zip file, one can generate its SHA256 sum and compare it with the sum present in sha256sum or from the website you downloaded it from. Etcher also verifies the bootable drive after it is done flashing them. You can download and read more about etcher from our official website balenaEtcher - Flash OS images to SD cards & USB drives
