Error flashing Astroberry to SD card

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to flash Astroberry (2.0.3) to a micro SD card and I keep getting the following message:
‘Something went wrond. If it is a compressed image, please check that the archive is not corrupted. User did not grant permission’.

I’ve tried running etcher as admin, to no avail. Can anyone tell me how I can check whether the archive is corrupted?

Many thanks in advance,
Hans

Hello @houthans

Welcome to the Balena Forums.

You can confirm the integrity of the archive by running sha256sum astroberry-server_2.0.3.img.zip in a Linux console or CertUtils -hashfile astroberry-server_2.0.3.img.zip SHA256 from a Windows command prompt and comparing the output with the hash shown on the Astroberry website.

Please could you tell us which version of Etcher you are using. When the problem occurs please could you press Ctrl-shift-I and post the output from the ‘Console’.

If you are using Windows 10 then this thread may help Windows 10: something went wrong

Hi Markcorbinuk,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m using version 1.5.116 and here’s the console output:

I’ll try to check the integrity now.

I had noticed that thread as well, but the thing is that I can’t seem to find controlled folder access, even though I’m admin in windows on this computer.

Did you try to run Etcher as Administrator clicking on that option (if there is)? Yesterday I had a similar issue on mac and i run Etcher with sudo

Ha! It’s working now. I did run it as admin earlier, but now I’ve tried a different route and something’s happening and it looks like its good! Many thanks!

What route did you use now?

I selected etcher from the list in explorer and then right-clicked it to select run as admin. Before that, I had used the list of apps that you get when clicking on the windows icon.
