Can't flash a custom RPi image, Error: the argument buffer is empty and cannot be written

I’m trying to flash a custom Rpi image with v1.5.101 and i’m getting and error:
Error: the argument buffer is empty and cannot be written (…)

The Rpi image is downloaded directly from here
I have tryed different SD cards, formatted them, with no luck

I tryed v1.5.73 and it worked
I’m using windows 8.1

Hello, thanks for reporting this,
The error is due to the image being truncated: this is a 14.5Gib image but the file is only 4.9GiB.
This will be fixed in the next etcher release (1.5.102) hopefully next week.
