Hello,
I have recently been using the balena sound with my raspberry pi 4 to stream music to my speakers over a bluetooth connection. The raspberry pi 4 has an additional DAC hat which is connected via RCA to aux adapter with the speakers. The setup is working perfectly fine when the Raspberry pi is connected to the internet network via an ethernet cable.
However when I tried restarting the device without any internet connection, I was successful in establishing a bluetooth connection but could not get any audio out from the speakers. On my second try I switched on my internet connection but removed the ethernet from the raspberry pi and again the same result, bluetooth connection was established but no audio output.
When I switch back to my original setup the audio is working perfectly fine. What I would like to know is:
- Is it possible to play music files via a bluetooth connection without any internet?
- If I am outdoors and only have access to mobile data can I use the data to establish a connection with the pi and play music files?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Vishal
