Balena Etcher has damaged my USB flash driver! Is possible to restore my pendrive?

Hello. I followed the steps on (https://www.balena.io/etcher/) website to create a Flash OS boot on my USB driver.
After that my pendrive (USB driver) has been damaged.
Windows 10 does not recognize the USB anymore.
Then there is no option to format the USB driver, since Windows can not recognize if there is something plugged in.
Others USBs driver works normally.

Why this happened?
How can I restore my pendrive back?

Well, I did go through the same process again and it seems it worked partially now.

Now Windows at least can recognize that there is a flash USB driver. But when I click on the device Windows says that I need to format the disk in order to access it.

What is wrong?

I can not start boot from that USB just created from Balena Etcher.

I don´t know if the problem is with the pendrive created by Balena Etcher process or if it could be something else.

What should I do?

Hi,

What is the image you flashed? Basically, Etcher copies images to drives byte by byte, without doing any transformation to the final device, which means images that require special treatment to be made bootable, like Windows images, will not work out of the box.

If you check the FAQ section in the Etcher home page, there is an answer for Why is my drive not bootable? Please help a look there and let us know if it helps.
