Currently, the summary grid view column list order is fixed. I find the tags I apply useful but they are all the way on the right. I would like to be able to drag them to the left, wither from the header or from a drop down list. I would also like to be able to more easily hide the columns I do not care about. Currently you have to do this one at a time (with multiple clicks). I would like to save this layout so I can see all (when I need to) or a subset, more typical. Also, to scroll to the right, I have to scroll to the bottom to access the horizontal slider bar. This also has the side effect of sliding the column headers out of view (I can no longer see their names). Being able to sort on more than one column would also be useful, but not at the top of my list.
We’re having a similar issue. The columns in the list of devices have a fixed order. Columns can be selected to be displayed or hidden. Data that is important for us is on the far right edge of the list, it requires user to scroll right. The scroll bar is at the bottom of the list, so a user first has to scroll down to see the scroll bar, and then drag it right. By the time user does that, all names of devices are not visible anymore as they are on the far left edge of the list and the user has just scrolled all the way right. This causes issues with using the list to inspect multiple devices ‘at a glance’ as the data being inspected cannot be related to device names as they can’t be both visible on screen at the same time. Can we please have an option to re-arrange columns order or have the list view respond to middle-mouse-click with an omni-directional scroll (just like on any website/document) instead of treating it as a link click and opening new tab with device details? Clicking device name in the list should still open device page, but middle clicking on anything else than a clearly marked link (blue) should toggle omni-scroll.
To add to this request: the columns are heavily padded and take up far more horizontal space than they should, limiting the amount of information can can be displayed.
