Writing to drive ends during end of verification on Windows 11

Hi lovely people,

I’m running balenaEtcher-2.1.4 as Administrator on Windows 11 Pro version 10.0.26100.

I’m trying to make a bootable drive with linuxmint-22.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso on a 16 GB Transcend SD-card. I have formatted the drive to exFat using Diskpart.

“Something went wrong. If it is a compressed image, please check that the archive is not corrupted.
The writer process ended unexpectedly.”

Multiple attempts end with the same error message, always at the end of the verification process. Different iso from earlier releases or distributions gives the same result.

Any idea? Thanks in advance.
