What "sanity checks" on the image to write do you perform?

I’m using Win64 (latest), and balenaEtcher 1.4.9 (Installer, not Portable).

I choose “Select Image”, browse to my ISO, select it… and “Select Image” remains. I don’t see what I’ve seen before - the name of the file to burn.

I changed the filename extension to .raw and .sdcard, but it didn’t help.

My only thought is that the file is too small to write, since it’s 47,104 bytes (23 ISO sectors - the barest minimum). I can write it to a CD and it works. I’m trying to write it to an SD Card to test that now, but I don’t get that far.
