When I am finished working and want to unplug the power should I just do it, or ask Balena cloud to “shutdown” or something else? What problems might I create?
If you can shutdown through balenaCloud, that would likely be the best option. It will stop all containers and safely power off the device. (It should be noted that once you trigger this action, you will need to physically restart your device - not a wise choice if your device is somewhere remote and inaccessible) Simply pulling the power plug could conceivably lead to SD card corruption or other data issues. If you must pull the plug, try to do it when the activity “ACT” light is not on or flashing.
