There does not seem to be ongoing support for the raspberry pi 5. We are trying to get the device into our development process however it is becoming difficult. The latest version available is 5.3.22 and it does not support booting from USB as the fix/patch has not been applied yet. It seems to be that this product is not getting adequate support. Is there a plan to get appropriate support for this board?
Hello @cpsamtec we are currently working to support the Raspberry Pi CM5.
We are also working to improve our Autokit build workflow, so we can automatize the tests of all the balenaOS newer versions in all the device types that we support. This has impacted the Raspberry Pi 5 balenaOS versions.
Having said that, could you please share more details of the issue you have booting from USB?
Thanks
Thank you for the update. Yes the pi 5 will currently not boot from USB. My understanding is it tries to read from the file system before the USB has time to initialize during the boot process. This was fixed by adding a delay, however only after 5.3.22.
