problem with choosing an iso image

When trying to select a linux iso image, it gives an error

I’m having this problem too, I’ve tried a different iso and tried downloading the original one again (which originally passed the checks). I’m working with linux mint, but I’m getting the same error.

I too have this problem! Downloaded & reinstalled balenaEtcher as well (same version number but copyright date updated to 2024).

FWIW, I’m running a Mac Pro on OS 12 fully updated, and trying to set up ubuntu desktop 24.04.1.
