Partition table not detected Hannah Montana Linux USB drive

Hi,

I’ve been having trouble flashing Hannah Montana Linux on my MacBook Air 2012 (Catalina) Whenever I try to flash, it says that there is no partition table. I’ve tried redownloading but to no avail. Is there any way to fix this? (I hope this is the right category)

Note, I can flash it, but it isn’t recognized as a bootable device.

Hi
I don’t have experience with that particular Linux Distribution - I didn’t know it existed! - and also I don’t have a MacBook Air to try it locally. Do you happen to know if this distribution will work on a MBAir? As an alternative and to try to find out if the issue is with the distribution or something on the Air, I think you could try first installing another distribution. I’ve had success installing an Ubuntu distribution on a 2015 MBP

Cheers
Ramiro

If the HML distribution can’t be installed but a more modern one does install, maybe you could customize another? See https://explorelinux.com/hannah-montana-linux/

I’m just using my MacBook Air as a medium for installation. I should’ve clarified that I want to put it on an HP Stream 11 Pro G4. I’m just not able to boot into the drive when it’s flashed. I will check out the link.

What storage medium are you flashing the image to using your MacBook Air? For instance, you can flash the HML image to a USB flash drive plugged into your MacBook, and then after the USB drive is flashed, remove it from the MacBook and place it in the HP. Then boot the HP from the flash drive to install HML. (Note, all data on the HP will be overwritten)
