No sound on analog out Pi4

Hi,
This is my first experience with Balena Sound.
I used balenaEtcher to write the 64bit v2.94.4 production image on a new Pi 4. Then deployed to my fleet using one click deploy.
I can see my device online, can connect via BT and can play audio via HDMI.
However, I cannot play audio via the 3.5 mm analog out.
aplay -l only lists the 2 HDMI cards
I checked that the sound works as expected using the original Raspberry Pi OS that came with the Pi 4.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Darryl

To clarify I deployed balenaSound 3.8.7+rev1
I tried switching
SOUND_MODE to STANDALONE or MULTI_ROOM
AUDIO_OUTPUT to AUTO or RPI_HEADPHONES

This is the output from aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)

Hi, any advice anyone?
The analog sound out works on a Pi 3B with BalenaOS
The analog sound out works on the Pi 4 with the default Debian OS.
But I cannot get the analog sound to work with BalenaOS on Pi 4.

I guess this forum does not really help …

@ddlima take a look at this forum thread, perhaps it will help: Raspberry Pi 4 No 3.5mm sound using balenaSound

I just tried that same fix on a Pi 4 with success. Please make sure that you don’t have any device config variables set to expect having a DAC. Although using it from the audio output jack yields unamplified sound. Hope this helps!
