The 8m now seems to be supported, however we really need to perform some (non-production) tests on a 6x as well. Would it be possible to get a copy of the 1.6 release - again, for non-production testing?
The getting started guide pointed to currently exists for any customers that still have legacy Nitrogen 6x devices active, however we do not offer the image available for download anymore as we are, as you can probably understand, reticent to offer a download of the image to avoid new users from attempting to use what is now an unsupported image.
