Is there a way to configure BalenaEtcher to use the GPT partitioning FAT32 format?

I recently recieved advice from another forum concerning this, as the device I am attempting to flash to is not detecting a bootable device after installing Linux, and they believe this is the reason? Is there a way I can do this?

If not I’ll have to use DD commands instead

Hi @justjeff,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you help with a little more details on what linux flavor are you trying to flash? And if I understand the drive is not being recognized on boot?

Also, to add some context to your original forum question here, we don’t etcher to any specific formatting. My colleague here (FAT32 and FAT issue - #10 by zrzka), has a good explanation on Etcher workinng to flash image.

Regards,
N
