Is there a repository for OpenSuse?

Good evening, I wonder if there is any repository for OpenSuse. I always used Etcher in Debian, now I’m migrating to OpenSuse. I saw on Github that it exists for Fedora and Rhel. I didn’t want to use AppImage format.

Thanks

I tried searching their repos here - https://software.opensuse.org/find - but couldn’t find anything with balena or etcher. Looks like its not packaged for their platform, so you are stuck with using the AppImage format.

Understood. I’ve looked at the repositories and saw that there was no way to make a .rpm package available?

Thank you for your time.

Hi there
you can take a look here https://github.com/balena-io/etcher/tree/v1.5.70#redhat-rhel-and-fedora-based-package-repository-gnulinux-x86x64 for the etcher rpm packages.
Regards!

Hi. Thanks for responding and I’m sorry for the delay. Is it okay to use the Fedora repository on openSUSE?

Hi, in general, no. Even if the two repositories contained packages packaged using the same tool, they would still rely of specific base lib versions, other packages and stuff that is specific to the target, tested, distribution
