Install Balena OS to Forlinx IMX8MPLUS

I can provide you with some general guidance on how to install Balena OS on a Forlinx IMX8MPLUS device:

Download Balena OS: First, you need to download the Balena OS image for the Forlinx IMX8MPLUS device from the Balena website or their GitHub repository.

Prepare the SD Card: Ensure you have a compatible SD card with enough storage capacity. Use a card reader to connect the SD card to your computer.

Flash the Balena OS Image: Use a tool like Balena Etcher or Raspberry Pi Imager to flash the Balena OS image onto the SD card.

Boot the Forlinx IMX8MPLUS: Insert the SD card into the Forlinx IMX8MPLUS device and power it on. The device should boot into the Balena OS environment.

Configure Balena OS: Follow the on-screen instructions or the Balena documentation to set up your device, connect it to your network, and perform any additional configuration as needed.

Deploy Balena Applications: Once the device is set up, you can use the Balena CLI or the Balena Dashboard to deploy your applications and services to the Forlinx IMX8MPLUS device.

Thanks for sharing @forlinx and welcome to the balena community!

Hi @forlinx,

Great to hear from you folks! I’m the Product Manager for our hardware partnerships and don’t think we’ve met yet!

Can you share more about your experience using balenaOS with your hardware? I’d be interested in a discussion about how we can work to provide official support for it if you’d like!

Feel free to DM me if that’s better for connecting up.
