like the title suggested, how could I check for file integrity when flashing from URL using Etcher?

Hi there,

Etcher should already be checking filesystem integrity when flashing, regardless of source. In case that’s not the case for you, clicking the gear icon will bring up a small configuration menu where you can confirm that the validate write upon success flag is toggled.

If that’s not the case, please let us know and we can further assist.

What I meant is the file checking integrity like using sha 256 and such

Hey, if you want to verify the image integrity against a checksum shown on the download page. You will need to download the image and generate a checksum according to the instructions on the website before flashing.
