Flashing ubuntu to usb errors, flashing 100% but Validating failed

I’m using balenaEtcher to flashing ubuntu-22.04.5-desktop-amd64.iso to a sandisk usb drive. At first the flashing goes to 100% with no issue. However, when the validating goes to 56%, it reports error that “Something went wrong. If it is a compressed image, please check that the achieve is not corrupted the writer process ended unexpectedly” Here’s the log

EtcherValidatingFailedLog.txt (31.4 KB)

This essentially means when Etcher tries to read back the data from the USB drive and compares it with the source, there’s a difference. So, it could mean the USB drive is suffering some kind of premature failure - I’d try a different one to see if the same thing happens.
