Facing Issues with Etcher Not Detecting USB Drive on Windows 10

Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue with Etcher on my Windows 10 PC. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Etcher 1.7.7 and am trying to create a bootable USB drive for a Linux distribution; When I open Etcher and insert my USB drive, it does not seem to detect it. The USB drive shows up fine in Windows File Explorer and Disk Management, so I know it is functioning properly.

I have tried rebooted my PC, reinstalled etcher, tried different USB ports and cables, checked for Windows updates and driver updates.

I have also checked the forum Etcher not recognizing my usb drivems azure tutorial & FAQ sections but could not find a solution specific to this issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? Could this be a compatibility issue with Etcher and Windows 10, or is there something else I might be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help & assistance :slightly_smiling_face:
