Hello,
I’ve been using Etcher successfully for many Linux Mint and Ubuntu installs. Today I experienced a new kind of failure. I opened up Etcher and wanted to create a bootable USB drive for a new Ubuntu install. I clicked on Flash from File and chose the disk image I want to use, and it stopped there. Nothing after that. It just stops. I uninstalled etcher and reinstalled it. I downloaded and re-downloaded the Ubuntu image, I tried different USB drives in different ports. I formatted and reformatted (even having to go into the command prompt and use diskpart to force some changes on previously “Etchered” USBs. I’m stumped. I’ve got Lexar, PNY and Sandisk media and most of them have successfully been used before. I’m baffled.
I’m using Windows 10.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
CJ
PS - Oh yeah, I have also experimented with file formats: NTFS and exFAT. Am I using the wrong one?
