Hello,
I chose an sdcard with pi-os on it to reuse. I tried to use etcher on fedora to write a new os image. It failed. Fedora thought the card was write-protected so I took it to a windows maachine.
I used diskpart to clean and format the card. Then I ran etcher. I tried 3 time to write the image and, each time, after it finished, it said the write failed.
The only problem is that, as far as I can tell, the write did NOT fail. Windows is happy with the card. It can see all the partitions and files that are supposed to be there.
I have no idea why etcher thought it failed but it certainly seems that something is not right.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
