i am trying to write raspbian to my 128gb SD card and its not working. i open etcher and select the image and the drive and click start and click past the unusual size warning then i get a pop up saying something went wrong. i know the image is not corrupted. im new to this stuff so its incredibly frustrating any help would be much appreciated
Hi there, what was the error message that popped up exactly, and what OS is you machine that’s running etcher using? Thanks
Try Win32diskimager, it always works with me.
the pop up says something went wrong and to check if the zip is corrupted. im on windows 10
Hi Ryan, do you happen to have another SD card on which you can try flashing the image? Also, if you open the devtools (Control + Alt + I) do you see any errors there? Let us know how that goes and we can investigate further once we have more information.
this is what the dev tool termanal said

Are you running etcher with admin privileges?
no. i am on a student computer. i do not have access to admin privileges
If it is a “student computer” that is controlled by a school, university or other, there may be Administrative controls in place that prevent device access. Without knowing exactly how much control or access your user account has on the device, this may be difficult to troubleshoot. Attempting to run Etcher as Administrator may be enough, but, I would also be interested to know the outcome of trying to use a different program to write the image to disk. That would allow us to determine if this is an Etcher issue, or, your computer is simply unable to write to devices. Thanks.
