etcher is not able to write to this location of the drive

The Balena Etcher Pro is failing to clone sd cards. I have two sd cards plugged into the BalenaEtcherPro - one source, one target. The SD cards are SanDisk 256GB same model. I get an Error message saying “Looks like etcher is not able to write to this location of the drive … usually caused by a faulty drive, SD-card reader, or USB-port.”. This happens every time. I click retry and after several attempts of the same error message it will sometimes work. However, even with balena etcher validation passing, running a cmp /dev/sdb /dev/sdb fails. I am trying to clone a base image for nvidia jetson nano. balena etcher pro version 1.14.3.

Yup. Same here. What awful hardware and performance.

It’s saying it’ll take over 30p minutes to clone from 1 SD card to 5. Sandisk Extreme Pros. On windows using a generic SD card writer from WalMart, it takes 17 minutes per drive and they’re the exatct same drives.

Going to return it.
