I have and RPI2 with RPI3 installation for have all service running.
Everything works fine without the DAC on 3.5 jack.

I have add :
Define DT parameters = “i2c_arm=on”,“spi=on”,“audio=off”
BALENA_HOST_CONFIG_dtoverlay = allo-boss-dac-pcm512x-audio
But no audio, can someone help me please ?
I have the same problem, or at least am using the same DAC Hat on my pi zero. Following!
I haven’t even got to the point of defining the DT parameters and BALENA_HOST_CONFIG_dtoverlay. How did you do that. I asume these are lines I add to config,.txt, but where can I find the file I need to add these lines to? Do I start a terminal on the Host OS or on the audio tab?
I figured it out. I went to the Device Configuration tab on the dashboard and entered “allo-boss-dac-pcm512x-audio” (in quotes) on the Define DT_overlays line. Then I rebooted.

I have find how to resolv, first plug DAC on RPI.
Download new conf on balena cloud, flash on sdcard, start, update, configuration and reboot.
After new install all work perfectly, i think its because i have buy and plug DAC after i have boot the first time.
