I would like to setup a permanent sensor outdoors. What material should be used to house the sensor/gm-tube?
Hello! I deployed, turned on public URL, and see the dashboard successfully. I can also hear the radiation detector ticking. But the CPM and Micro Sieverts per hour both show “no data.” The CPM and microS/h change values change periodically, and I set the graphs to show “last five minutes.” But they still show no data. Is there something else I should be turning on? Thank you all in advance!
Ah nevermind! It was just a matter of waiting a while!
Glad to read that it works @temko and BTW welcome to the balena community!
awesome thank you!
Im looking at this project at the moment and have a couple of questions.
- the suggested boards are not available anymore through the links, Is there anything specific I need to know. Would need to be a complete non solder kit.
- Can this also be displayed on your own website and or say push to say somewhere like radmon.org though I do see there is a post with a code for Raspberry Pi Thanks Ian
Hey @skippyinspace welcome to the forum.
For the geiger counter board you can most likely just go for something that visually looks the same as the one I used in the original article. I had a quick look on AliExpress and found this one which looks very similar if not identical: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005983829775.html
As for your second question, the project as it stands today does not do that, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t do it. It’d just require some work in Python to adapt the example code they provide and integrate it with the project.
I hope this helps!
Thanks for that, Im not a code person but I think accross at Radmon they might have the code needed.
Yeah from what I can see they have an example, so the work would be to get both running side by side and reporting the same information.
