BalenaOS support for Revolution Pi S/SE series

Hello,

we are evaluating the operation of the Balena stack with the new Revolution Pi S/SE series.

It seems like the current BalenaOS version 2.105.21 for the Revolution Pi Connect is not compatible with the new Revolution Pi S series equipped with a Broadcom BCM2711 CPU.

After successfully flashing the current BalenaOS on the Revolution Pi the device doesn’t boot and the indicator lights at the Ethernet port of the Revolution Pi stay off.

I would suspect that the kernel version of the current BelanaOS version is not supporting the BCM2711 CPU.

Are there any plans on updating BalenaOS to support the new S/SE series of Revolution Pis ? If yes, can you already give us some hint about when we can expect an update?

Thank you!

Hi, welcome to the forums. I will bring this question to our devices team and provide with an update.

Hello @mren our customer success team will contact with you with more details about the balenaOS support for the Revolution Pi S/SE series that uses the Broadcom BCM2711 cpu.

Thanks for your patience!

Sorry to pick this up again after such a long time, but this seems to not have happend yet (at least i can not find in the supported devices list).

Are there still plans to support those devices (RevPi Core S/SE)?

Thanks
