Balena Blocks VNC on Intel NUC

Hello everyone,

I’m currently facing an issue with the USB Display cable while using BalenaBlocks VNC on my Intel NUC with a Dell Touch display. The problem I’m experiencing is that the USB Display cable randomly loses connection, and even after a reboot or restart, it fails to establish the connection again. However, at times, it starts working again after a random restart.

I have already checked the host OS by going into the Command Prompt (CMD) and verified that the USB Display cable is recognized in the system using the lsusb command

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or insights from the community regarding this issue. If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has suggestions for troubleshooting steps or possible solutions, please share them.

Thank you for your support!

Have you shaped out your USB cable, as the quality of some are not the best.

I have had some in the past that make intermitted contact and that are connected but can’t supply full charge current.

I agree that trying another cable is a good first start. Is the USB cable just for the touch screen data or is it carrying video too?
