Hello all, I am new to the Balena forums and Cloud and am looking for a little guidance. I run indoor LTE networks and have been using Raspberry Pi’s with PiOS for a while and all is working well. I came across a few Balena projects that would be a great use case but when I go to connect our LTE USB modem to the Pi Balena does not function the same as the PiOS. I am wondering if there is a way to load the Pi network drivers to get this to work or is someone can point me in the direction of getting this to function within the OS.

Have you had a look at our networking docs yet? In particular we have a section on setting up modems in balenaOS: Network Setup on balenaOS 2.x - Balena Documentation If you’ve already been here, do let us know which section you’re having trouble with and we’ll help point you in a more specific direction!

Were you able to make this work with Kenna’s suggestions? If you haven’t it might be useful if you could send us the output of lsusb so we can check that the modem is being recognized.
