Unable to add new device and flash Etcher 1.19.25

Error: (0 , h.requestMetadata) is not a function

Mac x64

Was able to flash on a newer Mac with arm64 but the rpi4 would not connect

Tried multiple versions of BalenaOS with both Macs, same behavior for both.

This is a permision Issue and for MacOS you need to touch the terminal to open as “sudo” or administrator

Steps:

  1. Go to “Terminal” app and open it
  2. Change the folder to Applications whit this command:
cd /Applications
  1. Type this command to open as administrator:
sudo open balenaEtcher.app/
  1. Finally you to type you’r password account, they should be like:
password:
