Hi,
stage dashboard is down, can you please take a look? (we need it to burn our devices)
Yes, there was a problem with a infrastructure redeploy. It should be back?
yeah its back, thanks
again issues, cant upload my package to the app
Hi @mellerdaniel,
There was an issue over the weekend that impacted staging, specifically DNS. The problem has been resolved. Are you continuing to have problems? Staging, while robust, is intended as a test environment and is not fully equal to production.
John
Hi,
having issues again (hopefully we will be moved to production soon).
i’ve burned a new device, and it is unable to download the images from the cloud.
are there issues again with the staging?
Hi there,
I just tried staging and I didn’t have any problems, could you try again?
Yes, still issues.
its on hearbeat for some reason, and not online.
it fails to download images.
If you see the status (Heartbeat Only) it means that the VPN is not connected. Could you please check if there is a firewall blocking VPN traffic ?
i dont understand, it seems like the is an issue with this device specefic, but its in the same network running the exact same code like the other device.
it keeps disconnected
you’re saying other devices on the same network have no issue downloading the very same release?
could you share the exact errors you’re seeing with us?
yes, two devices on the very same release, one is in heartbeat, the other one is online and works fine.
“The terminal is unavailable because your device is not connected to the VPN”
what are the reasons for that to happen?
i want to send you the entire log. (of the boot, its too long, ill send it on two messages)
basicly, every SOM i know burn with the balena OS, is not able to connect to dashboard.

Booted - Check your balenaCloud dashboard.
this becomes a real issue for us.
i’ve tried also creating a new app, and putting a device there (even without pushing any code to it)
i’m trying to figure out why we keep seeing devices as heartbeat and not online.
we didnt encounter that till now, working quite a while with balena.
Hi,
Can you please let us know why you’re trying this on staging instead of production? And can you run these commands on the device and send us the output please?
journalctl --no-pager --no-hostname -n 200 -a -u "openvpn*"
journalctl --no-pager --no-hostname -n 200 -a -u balena
journalctl --no-pager --no-hostname -n 200 -a -u resin-supervisor
staging - because our device image still didnt move to production (hopefully soon)
you can see the logs here:
Regarding the VPN logs, looks like it’s a bad network connection, is it on ethernet or wifi?
