Share internet connection over ethernet cable

Hi,

is there a way to share an internet connection from a laptop (running Ubuntu, connected via WiFi) to a Raspberry Pi 3 running Resin over a Ethernet cable?

Concrete use case: WiFi needs confirmation in the browser beforehand, so configuring it on the Pi seems out of the question.

I found a way to do this with Raspian (https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/a/17115). What about ResinOS?

I solved this by sharing the wired connection between laptop and Pi: Edit Connections > IPv4 Settings > Share connection to other computers > click on Wired Connection to apply changes.
