Resin on a virtual machine

We’re planning to run resin inside a virtual machine.
Something like this blog post.
Is this supported for all purposes, including production?

Hi,

The download option for Resin OS Qemu is now called “QEMU x86 64bit (BETA)”. Does this mean that it is not ready for production use? And if so, is there an estimation when it will be ready for production?
