recent ssl mismatch error observations

hello balena gang,

qq - has anyone noticed any changes in ssl behaviour on your devices?
i had a nextcloud deployment that i’ve had to move elsewhere, but am trying to see if anyone else has had any ssl mismatch errors out of nowhere?
if not its probably local to our setup, but i changed nothing - so i’m kinda lost.

best,

puc.

Hey @puccaso I’ve got a few devices that I use through the public URL feature to access their interfaces and not noticed anything on my side. Did you figure it out?

hello @chrisys

worst thing is, browsers don’t really give much info.
no luck i’m afraid, i had to move my files elsewhere until i can setup nextcloud again.

I have recently got Easypanel.io working on balena, so I am going to give that a go.
it seems to handle LE ssl’s creation for any public URL so, will try that this week.

on another note, if we host something at subdomain.[balenapublicURL], i take it that the balena ssl provided via AWS does not cover subdomains? If that is the case - Can we chain certs in balena?

much love
puc
