Raspberry Pi Zero Stuck in Online (VPN only state)

I have a device that will not recover from Online (VPN only) state. I tried to follow the commands described here but haven’t had any luck. Any ideas?

Host OS: balenaOS 2.54.2+rev1
Supervisor version: 11.12.4

Here you can find some information about the meaning of the VPN Only state: Balena Device Debugging Masterclass - Balena Documentation

There may be several reasons for this:

  1. the filsystem is full, so the supervisor can’t store and upgrade the system
  2. a corrupted filesystem (SD card?) that is causing the storing problems

You might be able to get more information if you SSH the device and check the journal log with the journalctlcommand.
