Problems with my Pi1

Hi There,

I would like to use my old Raspberry Pi1 for a Standalone Solution.

I´ve Installed the SD Card with the Deploy via Etcher and The OS is also Booting.

current Release is cd011c4
Type “Raspberry Pi (v1 / Zero / Zero W)”
Supervisor version [12.10.3]

and my Problem is, that the ballenaOS 2.83.21+rev1 tries to run on Multiroom
(Client and Server).
So CPU is on 100% and nothing is running like it should.

I Tried to set the Variable SOUND_MODE = STANDALONE but nothing changed.

how do i disable this Multiroom feature?

Thanks

Hi @newbie81,

Thanks for reaching out!

When you changed the Env Var to SOUND_MODE=STANDALONE (which is definitely the right thing to do), were you able to reboot the device as well to force it to take effect?

If so and it’s still not applying correctly, I’ll reach out to the developer of balenaSound and see if he has any suggestions. Thanks for continuing to give it a go - I recently started using balenaSound myself using my colleague’s project and am loving it. Would love to get it working on your Pi1 too.

Hi,

no I didn´t help. After Bootup Multiroom is still running and the Pi is on 100% CPU usage.
As I now updated Supervisor to version 13.0.1 I could stop the service multiroom by hand over the dashboard but it restarts itself.

so nothing is working

So I bought a Bluetooth Speaker and threw the Pi into trash… thx kenny for trying to help

Let us know if you decide to give this another shot!
