Hello
i’m figure out to change my multiroom from Corepi and Squeezebox Server to BalenaSound. Have some questions.
How to the Multiroom work?
Using a smartphone in airplay could i:

  • Manage the volume on different zones?
  • Esclude some zone player
  • Playing different music on a single Player

Hi @jesterino,

Zones are not currently supported in balenaSound. It’s on the roadmap, but not yet available. That means settings you apply in multiroom balenaSound are the same for all connected devices. There are some volume tweaks you can try (per device): https://sound.balenalabs.io/docs/customizations#set-output-volumes.

Hi,

Can I put my balena application on my wifi screen (where all the wifi SSIDs show on my samsung s9 settings) and play music from my speaker which is on my raspberry pi 3 from wifi?

Hi Umar, streaming over WiFi only works for Spotify and AirPlay streaming, and in those cases it won’t show up in the WiFi settings screen but rather on the AirPlay/Spotify UI.
